TRACQS brings deep local experience to deliver the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) across the Western Tablelands.

RAES is Australia’s dedicated employment support for remote communities, replacing the Community Development Program (CDP). RAES helps people build work-ready skills, connect with real job opportunities, and contribute to community through locally relevant projects when jobs aren’t immediately available. TRACQS delivers RAES in partnership with the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA).

How we work

Our team works with participants, employers and community organisations to create clear pathways into work and to support people to thrive in their roles.

We focus on:

  • Preparing participants for work with practical, hands‑on support and mentoring
  • Addressing personal and local barriers to employment
  • Linking participants with employers, training and work‑like activities that strengthen skills
  • Supporting community priorities through co‑designed projects that improve places and create pathways into paid work
  • Delivering culturally safe, higher‑quality services with stronger provider capability

A flexible, locally led approach

RAES is designed to be more flexible and locally led than previous remote employment programs like CDP.

It’s designed to:

  • Empower communities to co-design activities that reflect local priorities and aspirations
  • Strengthen engagement between providers and communities
  • Link participants with suitable job opportunities, including those created through the Remote Jobs and Economic Development (RJED) program

Who RAES is for

Those in remote regions who are looking for tailored help to prepare for, find, and keep a job. Support is available for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous participants.
