Sharyn’s passion grew for photography after her initial experience within the Photography Activity. This developed her photographic skillset enabling her to translate through the camera lens, what she sees in nature, into compositions that create a strong focus on subject within its environment.
With careful consideration to framing and composition, Sharyn challenges herself to capture imagery as close-to-perfect in camera, with the mindset of reducing or eliminating post manipulation. This has led Sharyn to developing her own sense of photographic style which conveys her attitude and approach to subject.
Sharyn comes to use from the Kuranda Photography activity sharing her first series of work focussing on the cassowary, a significant bird of the Far North environment. We welcome her prints on aluminium and photographic paper which can be viewed online and in person at the Creative Communities shop in Kuranda.
