Description   This painting is part of a series called Chakra Life Tree, Kerstine states that the series “evolved itself from the first painting” exploring the “balance and harmony” that the colours induced. She notes on this series “ I never plan my paintings, I create intuitively and I choose my colours and the theme very spontaneously”.

Kerstine aims to create “extreme balance” by utilising blended Chakra colours and finds them healing.   For Kerstine trees are a majestic presence symbolising solidity, protection, earth, roots and old age therefore telling a story.

I want the observer to get drawn into the painting as well and really feel the colours, and feel that balance and harmony
