Peace Pot

The Peace pot is made using a hand building technique, using slabs and coils to build the height and shape. The clay is a red earthenware, decorated in a white slip and clear glaze. Further decoration is added using cobalt blue oxide and a black stain. The decoration is applied in a spontaneous manner, with words and motifs scratched into the slip, known as sgraffito. The words Happiness, Love and Peace are there to give the viewer added context to the pot.
The pot can be used as a decorative addition to your home or to place objects such as flowers, inside of it. The vase used with flowers would enliven any home and give the vase new form in which to see it come alive.
The vase should be hand washed.
