Grace Oui, TRACQS Team Leader

Recently at TRACQS, we have made room for a new Team Leader to help TRACQS support our communities and our team. A big congratulations to Grace Oui, who has decided to step up to a new challenge.

Grace started with TRACQS back in 2020 as an Employment Consultant. In this role, she would find work for job seekers, help address any employment barriers they might have, and assist them in getting everything ready to start work.

It wasn’t long until her role expanded to Indigenous Liaison Officer, which gave Grace new responsibilities, and the space to work strongly with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community in Kuranda and surrounding communities.

“My experience with TRACQS has been amazing. I genuinely look forward to my work week. During my transition between roles, I had so much support from my colleagues and management. TRACQS has been honestly one of my favourite working environments; it really has shaped me into something bigger.”

– Grace.

Her time with TRACQS so far has seen her work within the Kuranda Community, but also Dimbulah, Chillagoe, Irvinebank, Mount Molloy and Georgetown, which are the outreach Communities her team regularly visits.

As Team Leader, Grace will be working to ensure her team is on schedule with their tasks, implementing new ideas, training staff members, and encouraging both staff and job seekers to reach their full potential.

“I am grateful to be able to be employed in Kuranda, my hometown and give back to the community that raised me. I enjoy working for my community and pursuing to keep changing lives. I look forward to creating a vibrant and encouraging atmosphere for the team. I also look forward to learning my role and upskilling in my professional development.

I thank TRACQS for their amazing involvement as a Job Provider in the community, and I hope to do both TRACQS and the Kuranda Community proud in this new role.”

– Grace.

We’re sure you will make everyone proud, Grace, and we look forward to watching your career with TRACQS continue to grow!
