Lunula Pendants
SKU: 15638Handmade ceramic lunula amulets, each with a different unique design.
A lunula is a crescent moon shaped pendant, that originates from Ancient Rome, where it was worn by girls (equivalent of the boy’s bulla amulet from ancient Rome).
It’s worn as a talisman to protect against evil as well as to celebrate the feminine. Some say that when the crescent moon has its points downwards, it represents the earth goddess, as the crescent moon tipes seek earth just like tree roots would, and when the crescent moon has its points upwards, it represents the horns of a horned god.
Materials stoneware ceramic, metal jewellery ring, necklace cords with lobster clasps.
